Who are the participants and what are their presentations?
The jury, consisting of AEFE lecturers from Burgas Free University, awarded first place to Dimo Varbanov, a student of the American College of Sofia and a recent 11th grade graduate. Dimo’s presentation was on the topic: “GDP – components, misunderstandings and examples'”, distinguishing itself from the others with its combination of analytical and easy to ‘digest’ presentation. The second was Martin Makelov from PPMG “Acad. Nikola Obreshkov”, also in the 11th grade, who presented the topic “Demographic Challenges Facing Bulgaria”, the presentation with the most in-depth analysis in AEFE ’24. In third place was Daniel Borisov from the American College of Sofia, who just finished 10th grade. Daniel presented “Inflation: real or psychological threat”.
What is the reward for the winners?
In addition to meeting speakers in the field of economics and students interested in career development, the three winners will have the opportunity to do an internship at Expat Capital. Such an opportunity will allow them to gain a real insight into what is required in the workplace, gain practical skills and gain contacts in the economics world.
