History

Foundation “For Intelligent Growth” was registered on 24.07.2013 as a non-profit legal entity. The main mission of the Foundation is to promote the integration of vulnerable groups in the labour market through training and qualification and to promote the achievements of children and young people with outstanding abilities in the humanities and arts.

For the Foundation

The main objectives of the Foundation are:

1. Support lifelong learning , through a strong cultural component, with the aim of developing key competences;
2. Supporting young people, disadvantaged people and the long-term unemployed for training, apprenticeships, specialisation, qualification and retraining;
3. Promoting the integration of vulnerable groups into the labour market;
4. Building links between education and culture contributing to the training of a skilled and flexible workforce;
5. Promoting the achievements of children and young people with outstanding abilities in the humanities, technical sciences and the arts, to promote their achievements;
6. Increasing interest among young people in innovative business initiatives (economic activity);
7. Protection, preservation and promotion of the world and Bulgarian cultural heritage;
8. Promoting sustainable cultural tourism as a driver for cohesion and economic development;
9. Improving conditions for the mobility of artists and their achievements;
10. Development and promotion of spiritual and cultural values, civil society and its participation in public life;
11. Supporting creativity and non-technological innovation in the economy , in order to improve the production of high quality and competitive services and goods;
12. Supporting companies to carry out the NIRD necessary to introduce product or process innovations into their production or management practice;
13. Improving public access to information and communication technologies, the digitisation of cultural and historical heritage and the interactive dissemination of innovation to the people.

The Foundation will realize its general objectives through:

1. Work in cooperation and maintain close relations with related organizations and scientific, cultural, business and art centers at home and abroad;
2. Applying for EU operational programmes and other donor grant programmes to support the implementation of the objectives, and in partnership with representatives of the target groups;
3. Providing technical, organisational, advisory and legal support to target groups in the areas of intervention;
4. Organising and conducting trips, events, meetings, conferences, seminars and symposia for the exchange of information, experience and knowledge, between scientific, artistic and business circles at international and national level on topics falling within the main areas of intervention;
5. Organizing and conducting international, national and regional fundraising campaigns – cocktail parties, dinners, meetings, exhibitions, expositions and media appearances to raise funds to achieve the objectives;
6. Establishing and maintaining design centres , organizing and delivering training including vocational training and enhancing key competencies;
7. Establish and maintain specialised information and digital libraries;
8. Coordinating with government , regional and municipal bodies , non-profit organizations , corporate societies , academic and arts communities as well as individuals;
9. Assist in attracting , allocating and redistributing funds to disseminate the achievements of target groups , as well as establishing fellowships and organizing internship programs;
10. Establishing and operating “For Smart Growth” clubs and galleries – places for collaboration between representatives of the target groups and donors, as well as for the promotion and preservation of cultural and historical heritage, the presentation of scientific achievements, the discussion of viable innovative ideas, the exchange of best practices and the search for funding opportunities;
11. Organize, carry out and finance other activities not prohibited by law, including economic activities, related to furthering the objectives of the Foundation.
